EXO-Ls, you’re going to want to clear your schedules for this one. Multidisciplinary South Korean singer and actor Xiumin will officially be coming down to Kuala Lumpur in August, and here’s everything you need to know about how you can meet him!
Famed for being one of the most prominent members of the mega boy group EXO, the 34-year-old Seoul native will be coming down to local shores for the official launch of EcoBrown’s Brice rice puff snack, which was created in collaboration with local food manufacturer Kantin Lab. He is expected to arrive at 2.30pm on August 18th 2024 to meet fans at 1 Utama shopping centre and serve as the product’s ambassador.

Debuting as part of EXO in 2012 alongside Suho, Lay, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai and Sehun, Xiumin gained immense popularity off the commercial success that the group witnessed upon its launch, earning regional appeal for their ability to sing not just in Korean, but in Mandarin and Japanese as well. He would subsequently be tapped to join EXO’s sub-groups, which include the Mandarin-language-led EXO-CBX.
As a solo artist, his first EP was released in 2022. Containing the single Brand New, the record managed to peak in second place on the South Korean Circle Album Charts, with over 145,000 album sales in its first week of release.
Beyond music, Xiumin has starred in leading roles such as Na Do-jeon in Falling For Challenge, which brought in over 24 million views, as well as penny-pinching boy band member Shin Tae-ho in the 2023 drama CEO-dol Mart. Most recently, he is expected to host the upcoming South Korean reality television series, MAKE MATE 1, and will also headline Samsung’s Galaxy AI festival in the Philippines. He will join a clutch of other EXO members who will be appearing in Malaysia this year, including D.O, who is hosting a concert just one day before Xiumin’s arrival.
