Dog Days @ HARTA SPACE
Man’s oldest and most loyal friend on four legs, our relationship with canines spans across centuries back to the earliest days of human civilisation. And it is through the steadfast companionship of his pet pup, Ampersand, that local artist Ping came to bring his latest exhibit, Dog Days, to life. Supported by HARTA SPACE and curated by Studio Sayang, the exhibition aims to loosen the stigmas surrounding mental health through his depiction of depression through his dog.

His work emphasises balance and harmony, with each sculptural piece meticulously crafted by hand. The installation features European crystals that radiate positive energy, embodying key elements of his artistic practice such as colour, rhythm, and texture. Gabriel aspires to establish himself as a ‘happy artist’ through this exhibit.

Life Drawing Workshop @ Temu House

The exhibit will showcase a range of chameleonic ceramic pieces crafted using the raku technique, whereby each design is removed from a kiln at red-hot temperatures before being coated in a combustible material used to starve the glaze of oxygen, thereby creating a brilliant smattering of colour.

The Gaze of Sleepwalkers
Marking H.H. Lim’s return to Malaysia after a decade of absence from the local art scene, The Gaze of Sleepwalkers is set to be exhibited at the Wei-Ling Gallery come January 27th. Comprised of 13 paintings and installation pieces, the collection aims to draw parallels between the human condition with the world we inhabit at large, where animals play the role of silent observers to humanity’s present state of being as oblivious ‘sleepwalkers’.

Tagging Temu
The term ‘tagging’ in casual parlance refers to the use of spray paint to create decorative designs on public spaces, alluding to how an artist has ‘tagged’ the location with their work. Zainalabidin Sound Spirit Concert
