Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg tried the Apple Vision Pro—and he has a few thoughts.
The Apple Vision Pro has been making waves in the interwebs since its release earlier this month. Well, actually, it’s been making waves since it was first announced. The difference now is instead of Photoshopped memes, we see IRL memes of people walking around wearing this thing because… I guess because they can?
But what no one counted on was Mark Zuckerberg trying Apple’s headset. Sure, it’s no mystery that companies will try out a competitor’s device. But the Zuck didn’t just try the Vision Pro; he went on Instagram and shared his thoughts. And in true Zuck fashion, it was pretty awkward.

Mark Zuckerberg says the Meta Quest is better than the Vision Pro
Here’s one thing I’ll say right off the bat: Zuckerberg makes some good points in this video. The gist of his whole spiel is that he thinks the Meta Quest 3, his company’s VR headset, is not just a better value device but a better device altogether. He then goes on to outline why he thinks that: aside from the Meta Quest being cheaper, he says it’s more comfortable, is more suited for gaming since you can play Xbox on it, and it has YouTube, an app the Vision Pro surprisingly lacks.
“It seems like there are a lot of people who just assumed that Vision Pro would be higher quality because it’s Apple and it costs $3,000 more, but honestly, I’m pretty surprised that Quest is so much better for the vast majority of things that people use these headsets for, with that price differential,” Zuckerberg said.
The whole video was still kinda awkward though. It’s not normal for a CEO to go on social media to say their product is better, though some comments on Zuckerberg’s post are commending him for it. While he wasn’t necessarily hating on the Vision Pro, he was also very adamant in proving that the Meta Quest Pro was better, perhaps even superior.
If that wasn’t awkward enough, the whole video was filmed on the Meta Quest. That meant someone was wearing it. Sure enough, there’s a dude just sitting there in front of Zuck as he speaks, silently recording him like some sort of Cyberpunk edgerunner doing their boss’ bidding.
