#Exposed: 5 Things you didn’t know about Hael Husaini

Hael Husaini is undoubtedly a massive star and a household name in the Malaysian entertainment industry. However, there are some tidbits that fans just might not know about the artist. Read on to find out.

Here are five things you might not know about Hael Husaini:

#1 | Hael is a fan of Thai singer Jeff Satur.

Like many of us, Hael himself is a fan of talented Thai musician Jeff Satur. Known for hits such as ‘Why Don’t You Stay’, ‘Dum Dum’ and ‘Fade’, the 29-year-old crooner is among the rising stars in the Thai music industry. Satur unveiled his first ever album earlier this year, ‘Space Shuttle No.8’. Like Hael himself, Jeff is also a staple at fashion events — especially with Valentino.

#2 | Hael’s song ‘Jampi’ was written for other singers.

Did you know that Hael initially wrote ‘Jampi’ to be sung by other artists? In the end, the singer kept the song for himself — winning ‘Anugerah Juara Lagu’ with it in 2017. The breakthrough moment is considered one of his proudest ever achievements so far; a career highlight that’s close to his heart. What a story!

#3 | His favourite dish is Rendang Maman.

Rendang Maman is synonymous with the culinary culture of Negeri Sembilan where Hael Husaini was born. Usually served with chicken or beef, the main character of the dish is maman, of course. Sounds delicious already! It’s no wonder it’s one dish Hael cannot live without.

#4 | He describes himself as an introvert.

In spite of his reputation as one of Malaysia’s biggest stars, Hael tells us that he’s actually an introvert. He’s known for his calm demeanour and powerful vocals — something he has proven with tracks such as ‘Haram’, ‘Diam’ and ‘Hajat’.

#5 | His go-to karaoke song is ‘Belaian Jiwa’ by Innuendo.

When asked about his go-to karaoke song, Hael named Innuendo’s classic hit ‘Belaian Jiwa’. Released in 1997, the song has quickly become a Malaysian favourite. Korean drama fans might recognise the song from Park Bo Gum’s 2019 performance here in Kuala Lumpur.
