5 places in KL to eat according to Eyka Farhana

Our July cover star, established actress and fellow foodie — Eyka Farhana — shares her favourite makan spots in KL.

A little-known fact about Eyka Farhana is that she loves her food. When you first meet Eyka, food is not something you would associate with the impeccably chic actress. But, in her own sister’s words, there is nothing Eyka does not eat. And of course we at Lifestyle Asia KL had to get the ‘Eyka Farhana dining experience’! We managed to check with the actress for her list of five must-eat restaurants in KL.

1. Cili Kampung, Hartamas

Eyka loves her spicy Malay food and her go-to for a hearty meal is Cili Kampung. “I love going there because of its hearty good food that feels like home and when you eat it at the restaurant itself, you feel like you’re actually in a kampung!” she shares. Her must-have dishes at Cili Kampung include all the different masak lemak and masak cili padi from the kampung-style restaurant.

2. Park Grill

When she’s craving oysters and steak, her go-to is Park Grill at Platinum Park. Odd combo we must say but she seems to know what she’s doing when it comes to food. “I’m not a big fan of raw food but I do try it here and there,” she tells us. “The only raw food I crave for would be oysters and the ones there are very fresh!”

#3 Shell Out

She is a huge fan of under-the-sea delectables as she continues to tell us about her other seafood haunt, “You know when I have a late night craving for seafood, I would also head over to Jalan Alor and try out any one of the restaurants there for fresh seafood in the middle of the night!” she adds.

#4 Ayam Gepuk Pak Gembus
