BOH celebrated 95th anniversary with a tea-rrific five-day roadshow

Here’s everything that went down at BOH’s ’95 and Brewing for Tomorrow’ roadshow that happened at 1 Utama.

Since its inception in 1929, BOH has been synonymous lasting memories and good times especially for Malaysians. For more than nine decades, the beloved tea grower from Cameron Highlands has been a tremendous part of many of our lives — accompanying us during the dearest moments. The brand has definitely come a long way, from its three gardens spanning 1,000 hectares to the establishment of its majestic Tea Centre in Sungei Palas.

And that’s why its 95th anniversary this year is such as momentous occasion. To celebrate the milestone and achievement, BOH — Malaysia’s largest tea producer — hosted a five-day roadshow at 1 Utama Shopping Centre. Held from 17 July to 21 July, the ’95 and Brewing for Tomorrow’ pop-up was an invitation to step into BOH’s historic universe. Featuring a memory wall, interactive booths and more, BOH offered guests the opportunity to experience its expansive CommuniTEA.

On the opening day of BOH’s ’95 and Brewing for Tomorrow’ roadshow, there were appearances by special guests Jason Foo (Chief Executive Officer of BOH Plantations) and Brand Ambassador Fazura as well as notable personalities (and friends of LSA) such as Mekyun, Bunga, Fazziq Muqris, Jabir Meftah, Tunku Rania, Malle Christian Anderson, Jonathan Tan, Zareef Sein, Colleen Augustin and Iyzdham Ang. Together, we witnessed the unveiling of the brand’s 95th anniversary logo during a session emceed by Zamil Idris. On the 20th, there was an electrifying performance by Azira Shafinaz.

The pop-up also introduces three crucial components to BOH’s 95th anniversary celebration. Firstly, the Malaysian tea purveyor has unveiled a one-of-a-kind collaboration with Tudung Fazura; creating a myriad of beautiful designs in partnership with the renowned local artist. Now available for purchase, the tudung comes in a specially created orange box.

Up next, in commemoration of its milestone, BOH has released Tristan’s Reserve, a limited edition tea. The blend’s creation is a tribute to its longest serving Chairman, Datuk Tristan Russell.  The black tea is aromatic and bright while maintaining the signature profile many love BOH for. During the roadshow, guests also had the opportunity to savour BOH Imunitea, a hazelnut flavour functional drink. True to the brand’s commitment to supporting well-being, BOH Imunitea is made with Wellmune for immune system support and Inulin for improved digestion. In addition, it’s said to be Trans-Fat free.

It goes without saying that BOH is steadfast in its efforts to continuously innovate and progress. With its Malaysian spirit, the brand aims to provide the most exceptional of qualities with something for everyone. We can’t wait to still be going “Ummph” in five years time when BOH celebrates its 100th anniversary!
