The acclaimed British metal band Bring Me The Horizon is gearing up for an electrifying performance in Malaysia this August, with the renowned BABYMETAL joining as special guests. This highly anticipated event is set to take place at the Surf Beach in Sunway Lagoon on 21 August, marking Bring Me The Horizon’s return to Kuala Lumpur in over a decade.
Formed in 2004, Bring Me The Horizon has established itself as one of the most successful and influential rock bands of the 21st century. The band initially garnered attention with their intense metalcore sound but has since evolved, incorporating elements of alternative metal, rock, and electronic music into their repertoire. Their dynamic and versatile style has earned them critical acclaim, as well as nominations for prestigious awards such as the BRITs and Grammys. Their discography boasts millions of album sales worldwide, reflecting their global appeal and significant impact on the rock music scene.
Joining them on stage is BABYMETAL, the trailblazing Japanese group known for their unique blend of heavy metal and J-pop, a genre they’ve coined as Kawaii Metal. BABYMETAL features Suzuka Nakamoto (Su-metal) on vocals, Moa Kikuchi (Moametal) and Momoko Okazaki (Momometal) on scream and dance. Following the departure of Yui Mizuno (Yuimetal) in 2018 due to health issues, the group continues to thrive as a trio—it was revealed that Momoko will officially be joining them as a full member as of April 2023. BABYMETAL is celebrated not only for their innovative music but also for their high-energy live performances, which are characterised by elaborate costumes and intricate choreography.

The concert is being organised by Hitman Solutions, the same company responsible for the Pinkfish Festival and for bringing the American rock band Incubus to Malaysia. While the exact time of the concert is yet to be announced, fans can anticipate an unforgettable night of music and entertainment in a free-standing concert format.
Set to take place at the Surf Beach in Sunway Lagoon on 21 August, fans will have the opportunity to secure their tickets for the show starting 27 June from 12 PM MYT onwards through Hitman Solutions’ official website.
