The April 2024 edition of #LSADrinks continues to take a look at the most exciting events and launches happening in Malaysia and beyond. Whether it’s the Eastern & Oriental Express experience with Veuve Clicquot or the first ever Kuala Lumpur Cocktail Week, there’s just so much to look forward to in the world of ABV. The first ever Kuala Lumpur Cocktail Week begins on 24 April
Are you excited for the debut of KL’s very own Cocktail Week? Slated to run from 24 April to 30 April 2024, the inaugural KLCW starts with a cocktail competition before bar takeovers throughout the city. They include in Chinatown, Damansara Heights, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Petaling Jaya and Bangsar. The first of its kind in Malaysia’s capital, KLCW 2024 will feature guest mixologists from Indonesia’s Cosmo Pony, Hong Kong’s Bar Leone and South Korea’s Alice Cheongdam — alongside cocktail pairing dinners, masterclasses and seminars. On 27 April, there’s also the Festival Village that will be held in APW Bangsar so make sure to look forward to more exciting activities.
Brands such as Bombay Sapphire, Hendrick’s Gin, Monkey Shoulder, Rémy Martin and Roku Gin, KLCW 2024 is about to change the landscape of the cocktail scene in Kuala Lumpur. Participating bars include the likes of Three X Co, Frank’s Bar, Vér, Here & Now, Bar Trigona, Bar Terumi and Penrose.

Veuve Clicquot collaborates with Eastern & Oriental Express
Ready to go on a voyage? You might want to hop on the Eastern & Oriental Express from 22 April to 25 April 2024 for something very special. Celebrating its 250th anniversary, Veuve Clicquot will be hosting an adventure in the luxurious train taking passengers from Singapore to Penang. Before you board the train, you will first head to CÉ LA VI at Marina Bay Sands for the Solaire Champagne Brunch. Next, you will be on your way to Penang, traversing along Taman Negara. Throughout the journey? You will also have the opportunity to meet Didier Mariotti, Veuve Clicquot’s Cellar Master — learning about the brand’s signature cuvées and more. On the evening of the second day, look forward to a champagne pairing and gala dinner curated by Chef André Chiang as you enjoy an unforgettable experience.

The Wynn Signature Chinese Wine Awards to be unveiled on 13 April
Recognising the growing wine industry in China, Wynn Palace Macau will be the venue of the upcoming Wynn Signature Chinese Wine Awards. To be held on 13 April 2024, the ceremony will see some of the nation’s best wine offerings be awarded — including Best Red Wine, Best Sparkling Wine, Best Natural Wine, Best Cabernet Gernischt, Best Chardonnay and Best Pinot Noir. In addition, the panel comprising a group of 27 international wine elites and judges will also be giving awards to the best of the regions such as Ningxia, Shandong and Xinjiang.

Martell’s newest campaign features Tony Leung and Eddie Peng
Tony Leung and Eddie Peng have come together in a project for the first time — starring in Martell’s new campaign in Asia. Featuring both Martell Cordon Bleu and Martell XXO, the campaign comprises two films with each highlighting a different blend. In addition, the campaign also saw the involvement of two renowned directors: Wing Shiya and Ryan Hopkinson.
