Here’s everything you need to know about the all-new Martell campaign in Asia starring Tony Leung and Eddie Peng.
Following individual campaigns with Martell, film icons Tony Leung and Eddie Peng come together for Maison Martell’s newest campaign in Asia — celebrating Martell Cordon Bleu and Martell XXO. This is the first time the actors have worked with each other on screen and the campaign features not one but two films.
On the collaboration with Martell, Eddie Peng said: “I am very happy to work with Martell again and it was a great honour to shoot with Tony. We both liked the script so much and its concept of legacy, of passing the baton. It felt like we were able to positively challenge and push one another”.
Martell’s new Asia campaign launches in March 2024, showcasing Martell Cordon Blue before Martell XXO takes the spotlight in May 2024. In addition to Malaysia, the campaign will also be available in Singapore as well as Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong SAR and Taiwan. The first film, for Martell Cordon Bleu, saw Martell partnering with Wing Shiya — utilising a warm hue to highlight the cognac’s complexity.
As for the second film, for Martell XXO, filmmaker Ryan Hopkinson was in charge. Using a cooler ambience for the film, the XXO project will showcase the elegant and prestigious XXO. Here’s a fun fact: the Martell XXO comprises 450 old eaux-de-vie. More than 300 years since Martell’s inception, it still finds brilliant ways to soar beyond the expected. Fans of both Tony Leung and Eddie Peng as well as Martell would be able to immerse in exciting storytelling via the new campaign. It’s a one-of-a-kind team-up and we’re sure excited for more.
Just like Martell and its illustrious cognacs, actors Tony Leung and Eddie Peng too have enduring legacies of their own. Hence, it seems like their coming together is a match made in cognac paradise.
