Coca-Cola to launch K-pop inspired flavour with Stray Kids, ITZY and NMIXX

Coca-Cola has just launched a K-pop-inspired edition of its zero-sugar drink called Coca-Cola K-Wave

Teaming up with JYP Entertainment, the drink was launched today in Seoul with ITZY in attendance. This limited edition of the popular zero-sugar version of Coke, is part of the “Creations” series of drinks where this “K-Wave” version is flavoured with “a burst of fruity-flavoured K-Pop magic.”

In an effort to tap into a new generation of Coca-Cola drinkers, this special release has a refreshing can design and comes with a 3D sticker pack and potential access to larger activations like exclusive anthems, AI experiences, and live concerts. Leading this initiative are three groups from J.Y. Park’s JYP Entertainment: Stray Kids, ITZY, and NMIXX.

On top of dropping in a few hours in the States, Coca-Cola K-Wave will be available in a total of 36 countries. “We are excited to celebrate one of the most passionate fan communities in the world and create new experiences that we hope will bring Coca-Cola magic to fans across the globe,” said Oana Vlad, senior director for global strategy at Coca-Cola.

At the heart of this new K-Entertainment campaign will also be a brand-new single dubbed ‘Like Magic’, produced by J.Y. Park himself with Changbin of Stray Kids fame being credited as a co-writer. The accompanying music video for the song debuted on YouTube, racking up 2.17 million views in just two days.

These limited edition cans are priced at $8.95 (RM 42.76) for a pack of six. We’ll most likely be seeing these on supermarket shelves and convenience stores in the coming months.
