What happens when the best in fashion and whisky intertwine? You get The Macallan Harmony Collection Amber Meadow — the third and latest launch in the distillery’s renowned Harmony Collection. The project sees the coming together of The Macallan with Stella and Mary McCartney; raising the whisky giant’s presence in the lifestyle sphere. As part of the collaboration, two exciting releases are born: The Macallan Harmony Collection Amber Meadow and Together: A Collection for The Macallan by Stella and Mary McCartney. This is reason to rejoice for both fashion and spirits enthusiasts!

What is The Macallan Harmony Collection Amber Meadow?
There’s no denying the importance of an innovative spirit and a curious mindset. In fact, more often than not, these factors are what drive progress — manoeuvring entities to continuous success that transcends generations. Such is the case with The Macallan’s latest team-up with Stella and Mary McCartney. Its limited annual release, The Macallan Harmony Collection Amber Meadow, embodies the aforementioned notions quite beautifully.
It is said that the McCartney sisters’ love for Scotland is what inspired The Macallan Harmony Collection Amber Meadow, a unique release instilled with their memories of its countryside. There are so many interesting features that make this whisky a prime gem, especially as a collectible. For starters, Mary McCartney’s very own photographs of The Macallan Estate are showcased on the packaging. In addition, true to The Macallan’s commitment to being more sustainable, discarded meadow cuttings were reused to concoct bottle labels and presentation boxes.
The creation of this unparalleled The Macallan Harmony Collection Amber Meadow is led by Whisky Maker Steven Bremner. Finished in bourbon and sherry seasoned oak casks, the whisky (with 44.2% ABV) can be characterised by its natural summer evening hue and citrus scent. Reminiscent of mature barley fields, the whisky exudes notes of coconut, vanilla and honeysuckle on the nose. As you progress into the tasting territory, expect to be met with hints of green tea, almond, classic scone and melon. Yes, as stated earlier, the whisky is exceptional.
The Macallan Harmony Collection Amber Meadow will be available starting 8 January 2024. Locations in Malaysia where you can find the whisky are The Chamber, Cellar 18, and GAIA Johor.
A closer look at lifestyle collection, Together
The collaboration between The Macallan and the McCartney sisters doesn’t just stop at whisky. Meet Together: A Collection for The Macallan by Stella and Mary McCartney — an ensemble comprising 11 lifestyle pieces. One of the creations, an acorn-shaped brass napkin weight, pays homage to The Macallan whiskies and the very important oak casks. There are also entries such as the brass ice stamps, designed with a blend of green and amber ombre hues that are featured on hand-painted ceramic handles, the apple leather alternative sleeve-encased ombre ceramic flask as well as handmade glassware.
Experience “The Macallan Harmony Collection Experience, Inspired by Nature”
From 10 January to 21 January 2024, The Macallan will be hosting an experiential event where you can get up close with The Macallan Harmony Collection Amber Meadow. Called “The Macallan Harmony Collection Experience, Inspired by Nature”, the pop-up will be held at The Starhill KL’s Entrance Lobby from 10.00AM to 9.00PM. Even better news, it’s open for the public! Gentle reminder that this is for non-Muslims and those aged 21 and above only.

In addition to Kuala Lumpur, The Macallan will also be bringing “The Macallan Harmony Collection Experience, Inspired by Nature” to Penang’s Gurney Plaza from 28 February to 3 March 2024. Expect the same exciting offerings with online registration beginning on 5 February 2024.

Selected bars in Kuala Lumpur (from 8 January to 29 February 2024) will be serving specially created libations using The Macallan Harmony Collection Amber Meadow. If you’re interested in the chance to savour the whisky’s rich flavours in the form of cocktails, you’ll want to keep reading. The participating spots include The Barn, Six by Saro, Annabell, Fritz at The Troika, Whisky House, Astor Bar (The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur) and The Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur. These seven locations will all play tremendous roles in forging memorable experiences together with The Macallan for whisky aficionados in Malaysia.
