Onitsuka Tiger previews Autumn Winter 2024 collection by Andrea Pompilio at the National Gallery Singapore

Come with us as we explore the Onitsuka Tiger Autumn Winter 2024 collection by Andrea Pompilio at the National Gallery Singapore.

When Creative Director Andrea Pompilio first unveiled the Onitsuka Tiger Autumn Winter 2024 collection at Milan Fashion Week in February, his effervescent designs caught the fashion world’s attention. Not only was the ensemble a celebration of the House’s 75th anniversary, it was also a pompous tribute to the brand’s archives. Slated for July 2024, the expressive collection — based on “Urban Winter” as its theme — will finally be transported from the runway to the stores.

We had the opportunity to check out the Onitsuka Tiger Autumn Winter 2024 collection in Singapore’s National Gallery prior to the official launch next month. There, we got up close with Pompilio’s latest creations alongside personalities such as Malaysia’s very own Lucas Lau, Indonesia’s Anastasia Siantar and Dương Minh Đăng from Vietnam. Also in attendance from Singapore were the likes of Ayden Sng, Lennard Yeong, Krison Sum, Kevin Chatchapon and Dewy Choo.

The Onitsuka Tiger Autumn Winter 2024 preview comprised the newest additions to the Yellow Collection, the OTIGER series and THE ONITSUKA label. The latter has a store in ION Orchard — the only one of its kind in Southeast Asia. Throughout our time at the preview, we allowed all of our senses to completely experience the designs. With styles for men and women as well as a myriad of accessories like bags and shoes, there’s truly something for everyone.

Hues such as hazelnut, beige and black adorn the poignant pieces. Dresses are crafted in silk and fitted with matte paillettes embroidery while a wool zipped neck wear looks to the brand’s innovative spirit. We love the grey Mods Coat and body-wrapping cardigans that combine innovative elements with sublime wearability. Items like the brown striped knit cardigan, faded grey WS Printed Jacket and earthy brown suit add to the overall allure. Trousers are made to be loose and baggy while essentials consist of effortless hoodies, vests and t-shirts in pink, yellow, grey and more.

Looking for some new shoes to add to your wardrobe? The Onitsuka Tiger Autumn Winter 2024 collection introduces the MEXICO 66 SD with flame motifs — available in black, yellow and white. There’s also the beautiful and sporty WRESTLIA as well as the Tiger Rodeo which takes various forms; including as a pair of boots shaped like socks. Stylish Derby Shoes are also part of the collection together with the very classy DENTIGRE loafers. When it comes to bags, we are loving the camera bag with magenta strap and the black leather backpack with a zipper centre.

It’s clear from the collection that Pompilio is forging ahead with his signature approach — further adding his flair to Onitsuka Tiger’s designs alongside the brand’s very own DNA. As with any Onitsuka Tiger collection, there is massive anticipation and that goes without question. Even after so many years at the House, he still continues to excite with ingenious and transcendent creations.

Look forward to the launch of the Autumn Winter 2024 ensemble when it launches in Malaysia this July in stores at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Mid Valley Megamall, Suria KLCC, The Exchange TRX and Pavilion Damansara Heights as well as Mid Valley Southkey (Johor) and Gurney Plaza (Penang).
