The Brilliant Issue

In our August issue, Thai megastar Mew Suppasit makes a pit stop in the Lifestyle Asia KL studio to grace our digital cover this month, fresh from his appearance at the new FRED boutique in Kuala Lumpur. Sporting pieces from various iconic FRED collections — Force 10, Pretty Woman and more — Mew embodies the brand’s ethos of ‘bright, modern and sun-filled’. Mew exudes a natural warmth and cheerfulness wherever he goes, he is currently in his ‘easy-breezy era’ where he’s focusing on himself and looking ahead.

On The Cover: Mew Suppasit

At 33, now after a decade in the entertainment industry, Mew Suppasit has seen it all and done it all — and yet he’s still geared up for more. He sums up his career in one word: “learning”. The process of learning is everlasting. Whether it’s through the characters he plays, or the music he writes, or even himself as Mew Suppasit, he is determined to learn from the past and look to the positive side of things.

The Process of Learning

“I think I can learn a lot more from my job, and also from myself. Like, you know, the good part of being an actor is you can be someone else. And you can learn from that a lot. ‘Cause with all the characters I play, I’ve got some that are similar to me, but some totally different. So I can learn from their mistakes, too.”

Keeping on the Sunny Side

“The first thing is to know yourself, to know that you feel bad or you feel sad. Because sometimes you don’t know. But when you know, you can do something about it. Have something to eat. Call someone that can make you feel relieved. Or do some exercise. But if you cannot deal with that right now, so what? Even if you think about it too much, you know, it will not help at all.”
