Bae’s journey in the Korean entertainment industry started after JYP Entertainment enrolled her as a trainee in 2009. A year later, Bae debuted as a member of the Chinese-Korean girl group Miss A. Bae continued her musical journey until the group disbanded in 2017. After its release on 5 June 2024, Wonderland topped the weekend box office and amassed USD 3.21 million over the full five days of its opening run, according to Variety. Additionally, according to the Korean Film Council, the movie recorded 237,797 viewers over the three-day weekend (7-9 June). Since its release, the film has attracted a total of 468,802 viewers.

Bae’s next project is the new Netflix romance, All The Love You Wish For, co-starring Kim Woo-jin. Helmed by Extreme Job fame director Lee Byeong-heon, All The Love You Wish For is a fantasy rom-com that focuses on the forbidden love story between a mortal and a powerful genie.
