Her passion for the environment, human rights, and the community as a whole is an admirable quality that she hopes to instil into the youths of Malaysia.

The ‘future me’ inspires the ‘me’ today, because if ‘today me’ doesn’t work hard, the ‘future me’ will not be complete.

Tabitha — better known as Tabby — is one fourth of the popular girl group “Dolla”, which has been making headlines with their fresh approach to music. A go-getter when it comes to her career, the 22-year-old also regards music as a powerful tool for self-expression, and counts every milestone in her life as a blessing, spurring her on to grow. Together with Dolla, Tabby hopes to be able to hit the Southeast Asian market by this year.

In this job, you're supposed to look happy no matter what. But every human has their bad days, and you slowly learn it’s something you just have to push through.

As he strives to make a name for himself, Oskar is drawn to the creative arts and seeks to leave behind a legacy of his own — and he aims to do it by taking big risks in life.

Now at 22, Vanessa is a confident powerhouse vocalist with a tremendous charisma to boot. Her next goal is to make it to the global stage and have the world give her voice a listen.

Jeryl first emerged as a household name when she represented Malaysia in the inaugural Sing! China competition, and made it to the finals. Since then, the 22-year-old has been juggling both music and studying, determined to make the best of both worlds, equipped with a positive outlook. She constantly seeks to connect with her fans, and strives to make even more music in the future and grow herself as an artist.

Find something you love to focus on, and work hard on it. After that, just go with the flow. Everything will come to you smoothly.

Layla has garnered international attention by making it on the Times Square billboard in New York City in 2021 at just 19 years old. The multilingual, multi-talented Layla has sung in Chinese, English and Malay, and has gained a lot of self-confidence through exploring her music in these various languages. Layla also has a penchant for teaching, and she dreams of becoming a special needs educator besides delving deeper into music.

I want to be both a singer and a teacher. Both are my dreams. People keep telling me it’s impossible to do both and still be famous, but I don’t think it is. I think I could do it.

SHALMA ELIANA

Shalma Eliana, fondly known as Yana, is a fun mix of both artsy and athletic. The singer-songwriter is also an avid gamer and volleyball enthusiast. She’s been in the music industry for five years and the 22-year-old has now ventured into songwriting with her recent single “Your Loss”. She has since found joy in expressing her feelings through her own words, and creating music out of them.

Being able to put my words into my music feels so good. It feels like something fruitful came out of it, regardless of what I’m feeling at the moment.

At merely 24 years old, Jaymond has already established himself as a successful entrepreneur by helming Rollney — a localised interpretation of the Hungarian dessert ‘Kürtőskalács’ or chimney cake. Now with over 10 outlets across the country, the F&B has expanded from a niche treat to a full-fledged franchise. Jaymond has held a long-lasting passion for business and building something for himself, and he believes he can only go further from here.

Taking that first step is the most important. Sometimes when we get the perfect idea, we spend too much time thinking and overthinking. Why not just go for it, and worry later?

National Diver

At just 23 years old, Nur Dhabitah has already won the hearts of Malaysians through her stellar performance at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and most recently the 2021 SEA Games. Driven by her passion to succeed, Nur Dhabitah lives and breathes diving, and sets her sights to continue improving herself as she takes on more competitions in the future.

As I grow older, I’ve realised making someone else proud should not be a priority. What’s most important is to make yourself proud.

ELICA PAUJIN

Singer

Hailing from the small town of Tambunan, Sabah, 23-year-old Elica has pierced through the national market by competing in various singing competitions since a young age, and most recently clinching the winning title at Big Stage 2022. As one of the few Dusun singers in the world, Elica has kept in touch with her roots by performing largely in her native language to preserve the culture. She has also expressed her desire to step out of her comfort zone and branch into different genres of music.

As a singer, the biggest challenge for me is dealing with the haters. But I overcome that by focusing on my own career and not caring what others think.
