For a generation of adults, Polly Pocket dollhouses constitute an indelible part of the childhood experience, inspiring whimsy and delight through their diminutive proportions relative to other competing brands. And if you have ever pictured yourself living in a life-sized version of their iconic compact abodes, you can now do so thanks to AirBnB.
The American vacation rental company has just announced that they will be collaborating with the iconic dollhouse brand to celebrate Polly Pocket’s 35th Anniversary, by debuting a truly once-in-a-lifetime residential experience.
This comes shortly after a slew of other unique stays were introduced under the AirBnB Icons campaign earlier this year, which includes everything from an Olympic-themed vacation overlooking the Seine, to a Ferrari suite for motorsports fans.
Stay in a life-sized Polly Pocket compact dollhouse, thanks to AirBnB
Taking up residence in the aptly named Littleton town of Massachusettes, a 42-foot tall compact dollhouse has been constructed on a vacant lot, fully kitted out in all the necessary trappings of a bona fide Polly Pocket estate exclusively for this AirBnB stay.
As is the case with the Malibu Barbie experience from 2023, the Polly Pocket rental has been meticulously supersized, staying true to its inspiration across two storeys of unapologetically bright, effervescent fun. Expect everything from vibrant moulded plastic furniture, a closet containing all of Polly’s most recognisable outfits made out of the same gummy latex we all remember losing in the recesses of our sofas at home, and even a vanity table accessorised with hair baubles for real-life dolls.
When the skies turn to night, let your toy story take flight as you enjoy a movie on the couch, or set-up camp in Polly’s Adventure Park Tent which is located no more than 10 feet away from the property. You can even make your own custom friendship bracelets to take home with you.
